Welcome to Southern Oregon's FIRST and ONLY Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship in Spine Rehabilitation for advanced education and training for physical therapists!  Application for APTA Fellowship Credentialing is in progress.

OVERVIEW:

  • Year-long fellowship program that meets APTA/AAOMPT credentialing.
  • Advanced training in managing acute or chronic spinal dysfunctions.
  • Meets AAOMPT clinical and didactic education requirements.
  • Graduates will qualify for attaining FAAOMPT credentials.

CURRICULUM:

  • 442 hours - Mentored/Supervised Clinical Practice.
  • 130 hours - 1:1 Direct Clinical Supervision.
  • 200 hours - Theory, Cognitive, and Science in OMPT Knowledge Areas.
  • 163 hours - Lab Instruction in OMPT Assessment and Treatment.
  • 1,728 hours - Unsupervised Clinical Practice.

CURRICULUM INCLUDES:

  • Mentoring residents.
  • Weekly peer reviewed journal article reviews related to spine care.
  • Teaching experience in orthopedic manual therapy by DPT Seminars.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an APTA credentialed orthopedic residency program.
  • And/or Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification.
  • APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor certification.
  • APTA/AAOMPT membership.
  • Valid Oregon physical therapy license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Comply with all Riverside Physical Therapy employment requirements.
